comment If you are chained to a boulder and the boulder falls off a cliff, are you pulled with it?
@GMNoob Maybe, if the boulder is within the character's maximum load. If they have no chance of holding it up, a save doesn't really make sense. That's why I made it a shift instead of forced movement.

comment Clarification of Raise Dead
I think it means permanent conditions, like Blinded or something like that. I don't think 4e has a "Legs ripped off" condition defined anywhere. Though I'd be sure to use that in my next session if you can find it :)

comment Gentle Repose, changes to the corpse, and hungry wolves
You're the DM, who cares if it's reasonable? Seriously though, I'd have no problem with this as a player as long as you aren't completely disrupting the story. I might facepalm a little, but that's life in an RPG.

comment How to make magic items more interesting?
Basing an entire plot on a little magic ring seems sort of silly. I cant imagine anything like that would do well as a book or movie.

comment How do I allow player agency in situations with predetermined outcomes?
This is a good idea. Knowing the outcome up front forces them to think more about how to influence the severity or conditions of the sentence, rather than zeroing in on just winning.

comment How do I allow player agency in situations with predetermined outcomes?
As a player, is there anything that would make it fun and/or engaging to participate in a situation even though the outcome is predetermined? What if you didn't know it was predetermined?

comment Do I need to stat out & measure everything?
Are you creating new monsters? Do you know before the session what they will be, or does that depend on the players' actions?

comment Why does the “insubstantial” quality exist?
Of course it's flavor. You don't see a ghost and say, "Oh, that's one tough beast and I'll have to do a ton of damage (double HP) to it before it dies." You say, "Hmm.. My weapons probably aren't going to hit that so well. (Half damage)"

comment Is the extra damage from Assassin's Strike maximized on a critical?
Note that a coup de gras is a standard action and requires you do be adjacent to the target. This power allows you to do max damage to a helpless target at range or as part of any other weapon hit.

ahh yes, good point. Related: rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/4749/…

I believe only extra damage in terms of [W] is maximized, but I can't give you a reference at the moment.

comment What combat tracker displays well on a television screen?
@GPierce Unfortunately it's done in flash. Changing the zoom or font size in your browser doesn't affect it. I tried finding a flash setting for font size too, no luck.

Or maybe there's a way to "zoom in" or change the font size on incombat? Perhaps a setting I'm missing?

comment How can a party with no healers return a character from the unconscious/dying condition?
I edited the question to use "dying" instead of "unconscious". The conditions do commonly go hand-in-hand, but you can be unconscious and not dying. In that case the rules you are asking about wouldn't apply.

@GPierce good idea. It may actually be prudent to put each module summary in a spoiler block so you can just read the ones you care about.
