About Me
I am employed as a software engineer by a high performance media trader. There, I use Python, C++, Go, and AWS.
I like parsimonious code, with simple interfaces and excellent documentation. I'm not interested in enterprise, boiler-plate, or cookie-cutter nonsense. I oppose cruft and obfuscation. My favourite languages are C, Go and Python. I wish I was better at Haskell.
My favourite posts

In early D&D, why would chainmail ever be preferred over plate armor? Chainmail: 40gp. Plate: 60gp. It doesn't seem convincing. |

Is there a tool to make custom character sheets? Omfg, ClarisWorks haven't heard about that in over a decade!! It had Windows versions, so fear [not]. |

Are fantasy RPG races racial/cultural analogues to reality? You are the master of all things RPG. This answer is great, and cuts through PC in the quest for accuracy. |

Why do Clerics unlock 3rd and 4th level spells at the same experience level? I own the Cook Expert rules, and can verify it is 2/2/1/1 at level 6 as I've stated. Possibly Moldvay is compensating for not including the higher level cleric spells by simply giving more spells at those higher levels unless the Cook rules are included? Note that given all these occurences, it doesn't explain why rules released just days ago should continue the trend. |

Wielding barbarian weapons two handed I found: Creatures that use two-handed weapons (+2 to Melee Attack) also add 5 to their Menace Rating. |

In early D&D, why would chainmail ever be preferred over plate armor? @ExTSR: I was hasty in accepting a solution, figuring the right one wasn't coming. I've unchecked it for now, but I don't believe your answer is correct. |

In early D&D, why would chainmail ever be preferred over plate armor? 100cn difference is not much (max carry is 2400), and 10% is a bit of an understatement (it's a very undramatic way to look at the difference). ac 4 to ac 2 is a 40% reduction in chance to be hit by first level monsters. |
