@Tijnkwan an endurance check is required before surge loss if a character wants to walk more than 10 hours in a day. Running twice your speed should be much more severe.

@DCShannon no, action points are allowed after charges, and it gives you another action. That free action specifier is there specifically to allow you to extend your turn (see "it can extend its turn by taking certain free actions" (by which it means an action point, or something else)
