comment Can the creature created by a Simulacrum spell be affected by healing magic?
@JustinT yeah, that's how I would rule as well, natural healing/HD are out. The caveat there that I put in my answer is that they aren't specifically excluded.

comment Can spells be cast through a Wall of Force
@PurpleVermont it would be both. you need a "clear path" to the origin point of the spell

comment Can I wield an enchanted spiked shield and magic weapon in the same hand?
@selekate I'd have to check the wording, but probably not. Most things usually say "wield" rather than "hold". That said you can use your other hand to wield another weapon.

Do you by any chance have the red box?

@stphven great! it's a better answer :)

@GMJoe not quite. Magical shields normally take up your arm slot. If this shield is enchanted as a weapon, it doesn't

comment What does “The Load” mean?
I moved the TV Tropes link up to the question, should clarify for future users, but this isn't RPG specific and is OT.

I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it is about a general English term rather than an RPG one.

in addition to Help and Lay on Hands, Pallys can make use of their multi-attack and use shove to push or prone enemies.

comment Does food change with your Druid form?
Ok, different way of asking. Is there a reason that the existing druid rule that all of your gear transforms with you is an unsatisfactory answer to this question? Could you explain that, and help us understand how an answer to this question would/should affect gameplay? It'd be helpful in order to provide better answers than mere speculation.

HOTDQ is also set in the same area, it starts well south, but passes pretty close by. It does not however, get all the way up to Neverwinter.

comment How does shield bashing work in DnD 5E?
@GMScherz There's nothing in the game that allows for that at this time. What it should be is between you and your GM. The mechanics on improvised weapons allow those that closely resemble weapons to be used as such, thus you might talk your DM into letting you use your shield as an ax or something, but I'm not seeing a close enough comp to include it in an answer.

@Aviad that's not the case, I've clarified that its the same roll.

comment What is a fractal style of story generator?
@DCShannon I've included some, but this isn't intended as an explanation of the game microscope, it's more of an illustration of a fractal system, I'm assuming that if someone wants to know how micrscope works they'll read microscope. The contrast between linear and fractal is that linear storytelling isn't designed with inserting things in the middle, it's intended to be linear. Fractal storytelling is non-linear by design and uses the same patterns over and over. Some linear storytelling uses similar patterns regularly too, but that's not a key element of it's design.

comment When does a flying creature start and end falling?
@JohnP counter argument: it takes a long time to climb 100' up a cliff face, it doesn't take very long to fall said distance.

@sillyputty There are a lot of things a high reputation user can't do that a moderator can. The big ones are cast decisive votes and handle flags. I've cast my fair share of flags, and would love to help on the other side (yes, I actually like flag handling). So basically, I'm running not just to keep doing what I'm doing, but to take on more responsibility here and also keep doing what I'm doing (and doing it more effectively).

Also, the "possible scenarios" is a distraction and none of them are relevant to the comparison.

It'd be helpful to future answerers and me crafting my answer if you could clarify what your optimization goal is here. Are you looking for damage, the most use? Are you evaluating this power for a ranged ranger or a melee ranger? What kind of campaign are you playing in? Basically in order for this to be answerable beyond what I've written we need more detail. Also, it would be helpful to future posters and readers if you integrate your "edit" block into the question rather than leaving it as an end tag. if people want to see what you added they can look at the edit history.
