comment Does D&D 4e have a Lizardfolk as a playable, PC race?
@sillyputty josh is going to suggest you reskin something. Based on what you're saying here, razorclaw shifter might be a good candidate. Not a full answer, but might be a start

comment Can you choose to cast a lower level version of a cantrip?
@Phil it was phrased pretty poorly and reflected what seemed like an incomplete understanding of 5e's spell mechanics. I've edited it to reflect a better understanding of how they work and hopefully reach the point of the question.

comment How do I end a game without causing problems between friendships?
Also, are these people your friends? Or a group of randoms who responded to a flier?

comment Does the Eldritch Knight need the Warcaster feat to cast spells when using 2h or sword/shield?
It's probably also worth mentioning that Mearls' comments on this subject (And similar action economy type things) is that the intent is to not burn you on worrying about the action economy so much with stuff like this. But whatever works for your table.

interact with object is an action. However you get a free one on each of your turns. Dropping an object is an unlimited action like talking, picking up is an interact with object.

dropping and picking up is actually sufficient, and doesn't burn your bonus action. Dropping doesn't cost your free interact with object action.

comment Can Lightning Rush also trigger an Opportunity Attack on the triggering enemy?
@JLan yes, she does.

comment What would you roll for “attacking” an enemy with Lay On Hands?
@Airatome it'd be the Paladin's spell save DC. Just like an attack would be a spell attack. Abilities like this should use spell DC/attack number.

@Airatome you might look at the Light Spell (as I mentioned) for a more accurate model than treating it like an attack.

comment How does the Suggestion spell work?
@Strill have a nap, take a long rest, take a short rest, all would be adequately worded to avoid that (provided that the combat takes place prior to the event ending)

comment What would you roll for “attacking” an enemy with Lay On Hands?
@thelr that seems unlikely, attacks of opportunity are basically only for moving out of reach in 5e

comment What would you roll for “attacking” an enemy with Lay On Hands?
@jperkins again, touch is only a signifier of range it has no meaning apart from that.

@tommy I'd be more amenable to that kind of ruling if the ability included a "willing creature" qualifier.

@jperkins I've updated my answer now that I've got the actual text in my answer. This is not an ability with an attack, it literally just happens. If the DM decides that you have to make an attack, then they'd need to specify whether there is a save or an attack, if it's a save, it should be vs hte spell save DC, if it's an attack, it should be a melee spell attack (yes, it's not a spell, it's just behaving like one here)

comment What would you roll for “attacking” an enemy with Lay On Hands?
@jperkins ignore the ability to touch. That's the range, it tells you nothing about what dice to roll. What the ability tells you to do is the important part.

@jperkins to be clear it's not an unarmed attack. It's a Spell attack, you get your spell ability and prof bonus added. The melee specifier is so that you don't have disadvantage on the attack (See the quote I just added)

comment Why are the 5e releases spaced so far apart?
I've included the one quote I could find, I feel like he's commented on this elsewhere as well, but couldn't quickly find anything else.

Actually, better yet, both of the things you mention have PC rules in the Monster Manual.
