comment Drawing and sheathing a weapon in 5e, and the actions required
it's probably worth noting that a lot of DMs (including Mearls), allow this.

rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/7991/… is mandatory reading

comment Are there limits or costs to Wishing forever for ability score increases?
it refers to "the stress of casting" in the first sentence, and then "this stress" in the last. Your quote here is incorrect (I've corrected it). I think the mirror of stress there indicates that it applies to any non spell casting of wish

comment Can a multiclass Wizard use any Wizard spell?
Worth noting that there are now rules for copying spells from scrolls in the DM basic book (As of v.2 and they are also in v.3). Looks like they are subject to normal copying rules which means they are limited to your wizard level slots, but it's also worth noting that there is a DC attached.

@Cobalt That definitely isn't in play here by RAW

@OleksandrGalichenko depending on your browser, you can get a bare link to an article with either a right click "open in new tab" or by middle clicking the article

comment Why are the recommended DCs grouped by 3's?
It's worth noting that the recommended DC table was updated in the RC and now is quite different

comment How can I gain a combat advantage with a bluff check?
@OleksandrGalichenko It's a way to gain combat advantage with a bluff check. But now that I read that, I think you may be quoting something else. Could you include the source of the quote in your question?

comment Is the value of currency significantly different between 4e and 5e?
That said, since treasure overall has less impact on the game, I wouldn't be worried about using the treasure values straight from an old adventure. It will certainly be enough, it might be too much, but that's really no big deal.

comment Is the value of currency significantly different between 4e and 5e?
@Jason_c_o Unfortunately those guidelines don't exist yet. The answer to that question is almost certainly going to be no, since they don't need gold equivalents of magic items. We'll have to see what they do about it. 4e was tightly bound with a treasure parcel system, I don't think 5e is going to look anything like that.

@detly aye, that news broke yesterday, just hadn't had the chance to update this answer. It is now current with what we konw

comment Which skills can be used passively?
@JoshClark it's a bit of a choice of which meta element do you want to use. Passives or the DM rolling hidden rolls and everyone knowing something is up.

comment Can you use Wish to duplicate a spell at a higher level?
@Wlerin of course. The question though then becomes, "are there additional consequences for using a 9th level slot" and wish come with some pretty weighty ones. I don't see a balance issue here (dif between a spell at 8th and a spell at 9th is nearly nil)

I still have some skepticism on this interpretation. But I've now included it. I also managed to find a tweet convo with Jeremy on this where he was amazingly insightful (not).

@SevenSidedDie I'd find that a hard sell what with the 8th level or lower limit, but it's a possible one.

comment How can I boost my Beastmaster Ranger's bear's attack roll?
I've answered, I've taken the liberty of pointing to a couple of options I'd consider to be superior to BM Ranger in addition to fully answering the question.

It's worth pointing out that Beast master is considered the most underwhelming choice for a ranger. I'll see what can be done though.

comment When a Book of Shadows is replaced due to loss, are rituals that were inscribed in it lost?
@GoblinTheodicy yeah I had to poke around a bit. It seems silly to leave someone out to dry on a class feature like this. (though the wizard does this)

comment D&D 5th edition questions
@NorixiusTokris Hopefully you'll find that we are quite patient! We love new folks, we just have pretty exacting standards for questions (and we acknowledge that there is a quite the learning curve here, both for D&D and using this site). Our aim is to help you the best we can as specifically as possible. The big thing is that we really want the specific details. What specifically are you having trouble understanding with the concept. For instance on the saving throws ask "I'm seeing this thing called passive wisdom, I know this is what the rule say [quote] what does this mean exactly?"

comment D&D 5th edition questions
Hi and welcome, it would be very helpful for you to read over the relevant sections of the rules very carefully and ask a specific question about concepts you're having trouble with. We know that reading an RPG manual is a learned skill and are happy to help, but we need something more specific, we can't explain the whole game.
