comment When is a power considered “used” or “expended”?
If youre asking if I have a rule I can whip out from text, no rule was committed to paper for something this specific. So common sense rules that if a power were not "expended" when used then certain recharging powers would have less use/impact unless you have 2 valid powers to recharge from (one that you actually want recharged, one that you use to recharge the other via triggering some conditions)

Clarity added, good point I kinda lumped them together mentally rather than explicitly splitting them like I should have.

comment What mundane means can overcome Arcane Lock?
It explicitly states that the door/lock/window is affected. The spell does not affect the area or wall surrounding, just the portal the door/lock/window occupies. The spell is not sentient and thus unable to adapt to player tactics to circumvent. Now...it might be easier to burst through in comparison to the time it might take to remove the whole of the area around the opening but that's a completely separate matter.

comment Healing negation
If you are indeed asking about 4th edition, look for things that can affect Healing surges. Without healing surges, individuals have no wellsprings of vigor to draw from. A cleric or bard give means to access healing surges to heal but without them, they are bound to powers that heal without using healing surges which is decidedly more limited.

comment Build - Maximum nonmagic Damage with Level 3 Character
Do you mean that all content and third party content is allowed or were you using that as a quick means to refer to the Paizo stuff rather than their site at paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/gettingStarted.html

comment Differentiating between class level versus character level for alchemist discoveries
Aye that's why I want to double check. Granted there are other low/no prereq discoveries that I want, but the ability to grab explosive missile right away was tempting enough to double check the ruling on it for a PFS game.
