You're looking lovely today.

The four-pointed star used in D&D 4e powers is a unicode character: ✦ / ✦

comment What feats should a human rogue take to be stealthy?
FYI, it is spelled rogue, not rouge. Note the 'g' and the 'u' being one way or the other. Rouge is a shade of red or pink, and a type of cosmetics. (Though it is a very appropriate kind of colour for a rogue.)

You should explain further about how the 4th dimension would help. An analogy to a 2D Mario game with a 3D sun might be helpful, where the 3D sun revolves through the 2D plane (towards and away from the Mario game's player). It would still very thoroughly illuminate Mario's world - possibly even the underground - though it would eventually have to pass through a spot beneath somehow. I have no idea how this would look to the inhabitants, though...

this question was originally about wizards, so let's return to that

This is difficult to follow and appears to meander. Use of sections with headings, introductions and brief summaries would be helpful to allow us to follow the points you're making. It would help to conclude with how much gold you've spent and successfully avoided spending, and how many of your spells still were not free. Also, your assumption that being able to make your own ink reduces the cost of writing spells needs citation, as well as consideration of the fact it has cost you several skill points (which are probably worth more than the gold you save using them).

comment Death Magic and Vampires
Promethean, you appear to be opening your answer by challenging some idea that the Life domain can apply, and asserting that the Death domain will have to work instead. As a matter of fact the question suggests the asker already agrees with that, and they're asking for advice on how the Death domain would be applied. I suggest you might be better off removing the rebuttal against Life being relevant, since nobody suggested it was.

comment How loud/obvious is a wizard casting a spell?
@waxeagle After some thought, I'm downvoting this answer for its homebrew component. The meta Q&A on Is homebrew an acceptable answer to a question? captures my thoughts on the matter. We need to know how this works out in play, and we need to be assured this wasn't something you just came up with in 5 minutes whilst answering which will work out badly when we use it due to its lack of being playtested. (And I am deeply concerned about it, for reasons including a DC5 perception check is barely worth having exist.)

You have three factors listed; do you mean there's three to think about?

since answers move, referring to them by position is not all that accurate - and troublesome if you happen to be the top one :)
