actually I'd rather just leave this unmentioned, it's superfluous

comment Can a Warlock Selectively Curse Anyone they can See?
I actually edited out that last breaking-limit quote because it's not actually particularly threatening in this instance, and on reflection, not how I'd really handle the situation. As a GM I could have enemy monsters doing similar stuff anyway, and might well if it's fun for the players to fight against. They don't usually have features with these restrictions like the players do. Other breaking stuff is far more threatening. I think BESW's handling of a player asking to do this is probably the best, and what I'd really go with.

comment Does Favored Soul turn you into an angel?
Might be worth contrasting this with the PHB Cleric(?) epic destiny that does begin turning you angelic very explicitly (and even then I'm not sure you actually become an angel). I can't remember the details, but flavour wise, your face becomes the featureless face of an angel.

Then the DM asks the player beside you to slap you.

actually, on further thought, this quote isn't something i'd offer - the players would already be threatened by monsters anyway, and this isn't a way things would be broken. i'd just avoid this.
