I'm working on Fate Looms, a tabletop simulator specifically for Fate.

Useful things:

  • Making the Tough Decisions: An author talks about how to work in harmony with your group as a player, based on things that should in hindsight have seemed obvious. Worth reading word for word. It's good enough it's the single piece of mandatory reading at my game table.

I have a free reroll.

As this is a [tag:game-recommendation] question, please adhere to both the [FAQ] and the rules for subjective questions as outlined in [Good Subjective, Bad Subjective](http://blog.stackoverflow.com/2010/09/good-subjective-bad-subjective/) and on [our Meta](http://meta.rpg.stackexchange.com/a/1071/1204). In particular, all responses should be based on actual experience and contain references and examples whenever possible.

comment Where does a traveler arrive when a planar location's unspecified?
Today I learned Santa probably travels to fireplaces because he hops dimensions from the Plane of Fire.

comment Turning a Campaign Evil Leads To “Problems”
Still a D&D 4e question, and appropriate to target it at that one system since it has its own answers and lessons regarding this; I've put the D&D 4e tag back. Players from other systems can still learn from questions posed in this one.

comment Great classic Shadowrun adventures/campaigns?
@mcv I suggest you ask Meta how a question like this can be made to work, then.

@mcv Community wiki means you won't earn rep for upvotes, so that depends. (Most tend to agree that upvotes are pretty nice, too)

@mcv be aware that ~10 or so edits will trip your question into community wiki. You could ask us on meta about how to ask this question well, or something!

comment Why is the full plate armor penalty only -6 when plate arms are at -7?
@LorenPechtel They are more of a physical inconvenience without support than they would be with it, but are they more of a physical inconvenience than an entire 50 pound suit of armor? (the arms are 10lb)

comment Armour rating inside an iron safe
I'm voting to put this on hold until some things can be clarified: (a) Whether the asker is asking for approval of his entire position regarding the safe, or whether someone in a safe should be protected from attack, or whether someone pointing this out is not playing in the spirit of the game, or what. (b) What system this is; presumably it's not one with laser rifles that turn steel to slag.
