I have been playing roleplaying games since 1986, initially with the BXCMI Dungeons and Dragons, then moving to Rolemaster in it's many forms. I have both played and GM'ed and if pushed to decide would say I prefer to GM.

Other systems I have played/run include Spacemaster, Champions, Earthdawn, D&D (2e, 3e, 3.5e), GURPS, Mythus (Dangerous Journeys), Shadowrun, HARP, Wheel of Time RPG.

I am currently involved in a monthly 3.5e D&D game playing a ranger/wizard/duskblade/unseen seer/spellwarp sniper (it's a long story) follow it at the Helsmuth Campaign.

I'm also running a Dangerous Journeys/Mythus campaign. Why I decided to do that is an even longer story.

comment Are there the equivalent of Attacks of Opportunity in the Mythus Game
There are a lot of things I like about the Dangerous Journeys: Mythus RPG but the way the books have the rules set out isn't one of them.

comment How does time work in 3.5/Pathfinder?
@KRyan Our DM allows refreshing after 8 hours sleep multiple times in a day. On the flip side in our normal day we would be having many medium to tough encounters so we often need to.

comment Can I use a salad fork to get into the Prime Material Plane?
Our DM made us actually get to the Plane we wanted to attune the tuning fork to before we could use it, or find someone who had one already tuned.

The riding skill allows you to use the mount as cover on a successful DC 15 riding check.(p80 PHB)

comment Is there a spell managing program/app for D&D 3.5e?
@Novian They have an active yahoo group at games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Hero_Forge perhaps they can help with the errors you are getting. I've only ever used it with Excel.

comment Casting Feather Fall on an ballista bolt
Sorry, I'm no physicist and won't try and answer a question pretending I am. However, my basic understanding is that projectiles are fired in an arc, reach a maximum height where gravity wins the battle between going up and forward, to down and forward and then accelerating the object until it arrives, except in this case we've reduced that significantly so it won't deliver as much damage as it won't be travelling anywhere near as fast. So it might go further but would be a lot less effective in delivering damage. I think you'd be better off going higher up and skip the spell.

comment How do you make a vampire cleric stay dead?
From p171 of PHB: A soul knows the name, alignment, and patron deity (if any) of the character attempting to revive it and may refuse to return on that basis.

comment How do you make a vampire cleric stay dead?
Yes, they are very happy being vampire clerics and certainly don't want to revert back to life, which is one of the reasons why they hate us, because we keep killing them ( this is the third time if I remember right) and forcing them to be resurrected then re-vampired.

I'm not sure but I think they might be using True Resurrection to bring them back to life and then turning them into vampires again.

comment A PC dies every session - bad tactics or the normal outcome of adventuring?
Our Rogue is actually one of our best fighters. He can hide in plain sight, has a reach weapon and extra AoO's. He is usually why we don't end up with a total party kill.

Quote from my DM "As long as your potions don't have childproof lids, I'm happy" so I have accepted this answer with a nod to Loren Pechtel's answer

We really enjoyed our Urban Arcana campaign. The Stan! modules we used were lots of fun. Hope your campaign goes well!

comment Does polymorph or wildshape give you extra attacks?
Alter Self says "Physical qualities include ...natural weapons (such as claws, bite, and so on)," therefore you would get all the natural weapons of your new form in either polymorph or alter self. I agree with Azeari above.

comment When using the polymorph spell is the new shape always centred on the targets old shape?
PHBII p96 says "If the new form’s size is different from the target’s normal size, its new space must share as much of the original form’s space as possible, squeezing into the available space if necessary." I'd say both A & B do that. Is there anywhere in the rules that say it has to be around the center square?

The character in question wanted to avoid additional Attacks of Opportunity, and there was sufficient space to fit option B.
