comment Simulating samurai duels in Pathfinder
I don't think there's any sane way to do such a thing with the d20-system. I'd just change the system altogether. I might elaborate into an answer if nobody else does.

comment How do I help my players not get caught up on smaller plot points?
-1 Feels a bit like cheating to me :/ i.e. "whatever you do, you end up in the main plot". Pretty bad railroading, entirely stripping any sense from the players' decisions.

comment What is the background of Christian resistance to role-playing?
This is patently the correct answer, I'm puzzled about how it received such a negative reaction...

-1 Risk is a (by modern standars) horrible boardgame, and it has nothing to do with how such a battle be modeled.

comment Metagaming when there isn't actually anything there?
I agree with @CatLord and his analysis, so giving a =0 too. Whlie I understand and agree with the "here to have fun" argument, I don't think "insisting until I bend reality" counts as "fun". However, putting irrelevant small items to find such as these to be found is fun. Only, not if you create them ex-nihilo "just because players insist".

"I always rolled search rolls for the characters. This allowed me to fudge rolls that were important to the plot" or... just don't roll?

comment What essentials do I need on the site of my LARP?
10$/head looks egregiously high to me, I would be interested to know the rates from elsewhere, in case anyone knows them.

I wouldn't be so sure it's OT, after all it's rpg-history, which should definitely by IT.
