comment Where can I find actual play podcasts for RPGs?
there are many other actual play podcasts not on that list but it is a good one - my personal favorite Critical Hit (from the folks at Major Spoilers (see majorspoilers.com) for example is missing from that resource. As are, unless I missed them, the fantastic Penny Arcade live play podcasts (video) published by Wizards of the Coast themselves

Thanks! Very helpful - I've been following a bunch of 4th ed live play podcasts so have gotten a good sense of the range of monsters and minions and the other possibilities but it is good to hear that the conversion isn't all that tricky.

okay - clearly the terminology has changed more than I thought - AOE I assume means "area of effects" but what does "CC" mean in this context? and what does "DPS" stand for?

well since I work in tech (at my own startups & as a tech blogger & consultant) I have a lot of technology - iPhone, MacBook - no iPad yet but expect to have one or two soon) but I am looking at getting a new printer soonish (and a scanner) - I've usually gotten Laser printers in the past to minimize ink costs & maximize time between replacing inks.

thanks I've seen many of those posts but the full list is great - however these are mostly focused on software (and mostly PC though some are cross platform). I'm very curious about what hardware (if any) people are using - another answer talks about using a cheap picoprojector for digital maps which is a cool idea. Are there printers people prefer for high quality/reasonable cost for printing out maps & other PDF resources? Do people use iPhones or iPads on the game table?
