I've been playing RPGs since the late 70s when I started with Holmes Basic and first edition Gamma World. These days I'm most looking to run old style D&D and derivatives (think OSR type) and continuing my eternal quest for a working iteration of the Palladium system. I'm very interested in Fate and nWoD although more and more I think as a player more than GM. Finally, I have a long and abiding love for Glorantha.

@Aviose: Exactly. I think the OSR is to a large degree a specific reaction against that and the trend to design later D&D iterations to make reliance on approved material higher due to thinks like the balance fetish.

Actually, the quoted section indicates it is 10 minutes. The phrase "not a measure of real time" isn't saying it's not 10 minutes in game but that you don't have to wait 10 minutes before starting the next turn.
