I’m a thirtysomething dad and IT professional living in the Austin, TX area. I started gaming way back in the day, 1982, with the TSR space opera game Star Frontiers. Since then I've been an avid roleplayer. I went to 5 Gen Cons, was a regional Triad for the RPGA's Living Greyhawk campaign, helped start a gaming club (the FORGE) in Memphis, TN, et cetera.

I GM and play a variety of RPGs; currently Pathfinder is in heavy rotation as well as various non-D&D-based games.

Yes. Ask about YOUR problem, not a concept one would write a Dragon Mag article to explore.

Hey Johnny - this is pretty broad. You've had a couple (well, four) questions closed on the site so far for being super broad/not really fully on point for RPGs. Can we work with you on this one to get it crafted into a good question that a SE can help with effectively? Workshop in chat, etc.

comment Is there any lore in the Fallout universe regarding South America?
The request for "official lore from the Fallout universe" keeps this firmly in video game territory. Sorry, same answer to "Tell me about the history of Helm's Deep" or anything else from another source - not on topic here.

comment Differing Starting Points Levels
The only way I could see this working is if it's pretty important to be able to adapt in game and take skills important to the plot - but 250 is a lot to spread around, and even if it works out that suddenly everyone's kidnapped on a spaceship and only those with 'room to grow' can get those skills, then it's a reverse hosejob...

comment What is an easy to learn and teach combat-focused game set in the Lord of the Rings series?
-1 I'm sorry, this answer does not meet our site requirements for system-rec questions, which require, basically, "having done that or seen it done," not just "I'm sure my favorite system would be good for that."
