I’m a thirtysomething dad and IT professional living in the Austin, TX area. I started gaming way back in the day, 1982, with the TSR space opera game Star Frontiers. Since then I've been an avid roleplayer. I went to 5 Gen Cons, was a regional Triad for the RPGA's Living Greyhawk campaign, helped start a gaming club (the FORGE) in Memphis, TN, et cetera.

I GM and play a variety of RPGs; currently Pathfinder is in heavy rotation as well as various non-D&D-based games.

comment How do multiple natural attacks work?
No. The natural attack rules say clearly "If a creature has only one natural attack, it is always made using the creature’s full base attack bonus and adds 1-1/2 times the creature’s Strength bonus on damage rolls. This increase does not apply if the creature has multiple attacks but only takes one." So choosing to just take the one attack doesn't promote from secondary to primary, RAW. Should it? Yes, and that's how I rule in my game.

comment Help, in 5th edition D&D do my modifiers go up, how and why?
Don't answer incoherent questions please. Elias, can you explain a little more about what exactly you're asking about, which "modifiers" you want to know about, etc. Most of the character progression is explained in your class description in the rules, maybe double check and then edit your question to clarify what you find unclear.

comment Can Monks gain the benefit of the Dual Wielder Feat with their Unarmed Strikes?
Well at a bare minimum you can shout "woop woop woop woop" while slapping two fellow party members.

comment Are any 5e multiclassing options particularly strong compared to the base classes?
Even with "prove one," I don't know what real play problem you are trying to solve. "Winning an Internet fight" is not an interesting problem for purposes of this site.

comment Are any 5e multiclassing options particularly strong compared to the base classes?
I think this is too broad to be a good question for the site; it's basically an invitation to a never-ending discussion about "well THIS combo is good" "well no it's not..." With also being largely opinion-based. I'm not sure what a good answer looks like.

comment How did D&D end up so focused on fighting, when its inspirations weren't?
Guess-answers in comments are worse than guess-answers in answers and will be deleted per site policy. Don't do it.

Yeah, that answers "do you trigger an OA in 10' with a whip" but this question is "yeah but can I have a whip in one hand and a dagger in the other and just choose whichever's provoked?" It's a different question.

This is a valid question but I will warn answerers that random opinions are not valid answers. Answers to this question should follow Good Subjective, Bad Subjective and cite sources and/or relevant experience and not simply speculate.
