Cortex rules: how to handle complications No, that's separate too. The question is talking about the type that show up in Smallville (in that case called stress). Cortex Plus is pretty liberal in terms of renaming things, so in talking about the question specifically, Leverage doesn't have anything that matches it. |

After Essentials, what material do I need? You wouldn't need to bring a laptop to the table, you could just do everything on DDI for prep and print out what you need for the game. |

Cortex rules: how to handle complications Not really, a minus die doesn't fit with the roll & keep system that Cortex uses, and if you have it up at around -d10 or something like that, you could be turning up with a total negative result even without otherwise rolling 1s. |

Cortex rules: how to handle complications I meant in the sense of acquiring a dX complication. It's just something that gets narrated in later. |

What kind of rulings predated ability or skill checks in old school D&D? RPG.net disabled searching over a year ago, it would take ages for me to find. If I know the thread title I can do a site search on bing to pull stuff up, but if I'm doing a search for a username it's pointless as it doesn't seem to be indexed on any of the search engines. |

How to model an absolute condition in Fate? @Extrakun - I think that would make sense, I actually wasn't sure how to handle negative ones, but that should work. @Jadasc - I don't have the time to look through everything right now, sorry. I'll update my answer if I find it. |
