comment Lovecraft's Deep Ones and co. in the 21st century
As a note below for Cthulutech and The Laundry, I don't believe either are licensees of Chaosium. They both use different mechanics at least. Also Pagan Publishing who created Delta Green are making a new version separate from Chaosium's BRP system and updated to present day. I don't know how they are handling Deep Ones and friends though.

This was updated for D&D 3.x & Pathfinder in Necromancer's Tome of Horrors series. Added to answer!

comment Pathfinder RPG in Forgotten Realms 3.5 setting?
@okeefe Don't give them ideas! If they grapple Elminster it could take weeks to determine all the affects and that's before we do any conversions!

comment What stands out about an Iron Age setting?
If the range (as given in the question) is 800-200BC you won't be seeing Christianity yet. Although by the end of the age (400AD) then you're correct.

comment Is a Fighter/Wizard/Thief viable in Pathfinder?
+1 Pathfinder was designed with the partial intent to reduce multi-classing like this.

comment Is it possible to change the main stat used by Wizards/Monks in Pathfinder?
What's CoV? I'm embarrassed to admit I can't think of which book that is off the top of my head.

comment Who actually makes the Magic Books that boost stats?
+1 for the terrific incentive to read. Talk about knowledge is power :D

comment Optimal Focused Fighter Builds in Pathfinder
Hmm, I'd switch Dex and Con to give more hit points since the armor's going to limit Dex benefit anyways (or use mithral fullplate to give Dex benefit back). Impressive tho!

Maybe I should have just edited your answer? I'm never quite sure how that should work.

comment How can I cast what can't be cast?
Might recommend that if this allows for a knowledge roll and costs less then the normal actual cost of a scroll to do the same effect that there is another requirement. Something like "the fabric between the Material and Fire plane has to be especially weak here, etc."

comment Can a cat familiar open a potion bottle by itself?
Well even if it spills on the ground they are full capable of full lapping the thing entirely up. This also gets a little tricky since cats do not drink the way humans do. Plus the question just wants to know if they can get a potion bottle open which is possible.

comment Can a cat familiar open a potion bottle by itself?
Considering if there was something in a corked bottle that they wanted my entirely non-magical house cats could probably get to it so an intelligent magical cat should be able to get to it no problem

comment What is Exalted Paranoia Combat?
Good analysis, especially about the assumption that a player can pull off a stunt every round (and doing that with an antagonistic GM who is the sole arbitrator on when to give such bonuses).

Thought it mentioned in the core book how humanity remain oblivious.

comment What is the plot of ST1 Up the Garden Path
I'd seen this, the summary is frustratingly vague! One would think for a 16 page adventure that there would be a little more info available. I guess maybe it's doomed to be collected and never read/played.

comment Advantages and disadvantages of using props to represent Magic at larp?
@C.Ross That I'm aware, I was just pointing out that bean bags can be used as actual weapons and can hurt people (though you'd have to be a MLB pitcher to probably kill someone with one by throwing it!)

I'd rather to defer to someone who's LARPed tho
