Quite boring, really. Have faffed about with computers since the mid-80s, have worked as a network engineer, unix sysadmin and (occasionally) developer.

How do I get my PCs to not be a bunch of murderous cretins? Not to forget that combat in GURPS is a good way of going through characters at pace. |

How can I create a Prisoner's Dilemma-style choice in Paranoia? @okeefe Sometimes the Things From R&D are useful in ways that R&D had not intended (the nuclear hand grenades can be re-purposed as extremely lethal booby traps, for example). I wanted something that was worth slightly less than "status quo", but more than "dead". |

A system that models improved threat range of critical misses? Added crit attacks, on popular demand. |

A system that models improved threat range of critical misses? @SevenSidedDie: There were also an assortment of crit/semi-crit successes. Might actually be worth my while editing my answer to get those in, as well. |

Is there a trick to learning the Pacesetter/Goblinoid Action Table? @rjbs I think this is the same (or a very similar) table to that in Chill and I found that it was relatively easy to fudge the meaning for a variety of investigative skills, ranging from "you find some" to "you find a lot". To the extent there were specific details associated with a given level of success, that was usually stated in the module/adventure being played, so not amenable to memorization anyway. |

Is using the term “gypsy” in a game racist? Why not "Jongleur"? :) |

Is there one type of combat system considered to be more deadly than other alternatives? @aramis - There's also a strong BRP heritage in quite a few Swedish RPGs (the first Swedish-language RPG was actually a straight off (licensed) translation of Basic Roleplaying; then all sorts of off-shoots of taht basic mechanic developed). |
