My first language is German. I started playing with Das Schwarze Auge. As a referee I'm lazy and prefer to do things just-in-time. My preferred system right now is Labyrinth Lord, but most of my campaigns still use other systems: D&D 3.5, Pathfinder RPG, Diaspora, Song of Ice and Fire, and there's also a "learn new systems" group I'm in.
I have a blog.

What props or other tools can I use to improve pacing? I don't understand what techniques and tangibles are in this context. Can you clarify or provide examples? I wanted to answer with an example of how I used retrospectives or flashbacks to fill in blanks when doing a fast forward in the campaign, but then that seemed like a technique to me. Tanglibles sounds like using poker chips or something like that? |

What can make OGL material harder or easier to reuse in other products? The example I'm thinking of right now is the Bard's Gate city supplement by Necromancer Games. At the time I wanted to create a community wiki for the book, but found the license to be unusable, and while the main author Casey Christofferson liked the idea, Clark Peterson of Necromancer Games never replied to my emails asking for a separate license. |
