My first language is German. I started playing with Das Schwarze Auge. As a referee I'm lazy and prefer to do things just-in-time. My preferred system right now is Labyrinth Lord, but most of my campaigns still use other systems: D&D 3.5, Pathfinder RPG, Diaspora, Song of Ice and Fire, and there's also a "learn new systems" group I'm in.

Do your players make maps while exploring the unknown of your game's world? I guess I find the joy mapping and mistakes bring outweigh the realism aspect. The game doesn't simulate reality too well, but it's fun (for me). Maybe i should make the decision part of the next campaign setup... |

Do your players make maps while exploring the unknown of your game's world? Errors just creep in as I copy stuff carelessly. Don't count squares, don't count hexes, don't try to get all the proportions and angles right and you'll get a map full of mistakes. Works every time! :) |

How to Handle a Powergamer / Munchkin I've had encounters with nightmare-riding rangers hating humans shooting human bane arrows at the power-gamer and the rest fighting off dire boars. That's when I realized we needed to talk, and we did, and it was no problem in that he agreed to tone it down for the next campaign. |
