I was home educated most of my life, I've always been interested in science particularly physics. I went to college for A'levels, then between that and University I did a year-long full time circus course specialising in Acrobatics and Aerial. I did my undergraduate degree at Sheffield, and a summer Nuffield research project on scalar hairy black holes. Now I'm doing a PhD in Quantum Information Theory in Curved Spacetimes. I have a lovely wife, Sascha, we got married May 2010. We like going out, walking, cycling or for a meal and the cinema.

Encouraging out-of-the-box thinking in combat encounters Are you suggesting reduce / remove the XP accociated with monsters, and start awarding it from the treasure instead, ie. sneaking around the monster and stealing its treasure gives the same XP as killing it and stealing its treasure? |

Encouraging out-of-the-box thinking in combat encounters Really like the idea of injuries with specific penalties. Also making direct combat a bit less worth while would probably alter the style a bit. |

Encouraging out-of-the-box thinking in combat encounters Thanks for your answer. I edited my question to make it clear that I'd asked them and they seem to want to play tactically, they just haven't managed it yet. |

Encouraging out-of-the-box thinking in combat encounters Edit: made it clearer that the players do want to play tactically, they just don't seem to in-game. |

Is an ongoing Human Occupied Landfill (HōL) campaign possible? +1 for suggestion to modify the game to suit. I always modify non rpg games ('standard' board games), and often rpg games too. |

Players playing multiple characters I think that's a really good idea about having a main character, and then henchmen or something. I'll leave it a bit for more people to answer before deciding which answer to accept. |

Players playing multiple characters Edit: Clarified that the question was about simultaneous playing of two characters not sequentially. |

Dealing with a changing set of players in a continuous campaign I think it's a good idea to adjust the party with NPCs, I've considered this and the related getting people to play 2 characters (I'll ask another question about this). |
