comment What kind of character is unique for Eberron?
@MrJinPengyou I haven't thought about it like that. That's really convincing. Thanks

I like how you sum up your answer. A little followup: Isn't WArforged Artificer a bit weird? It's a guy handling the same power that created himself, right? Is it common in Eberron?

I already had a look at the book before I asked the question. I know there's a lot to choose from, but I haven't read about Dragonmarked yet. Thanks. I considered Warforged, but they don't seem to be good carriers of virtues like intelligence or wisdom ;) Correct me if I'm wrong.

@all_the_above ;) I will play a game in the Eberron setting. I absolutely don't care about the character's efficiency and leveling patterns. I just want to explore the universum. The focus on the question is about a character being able to do unusual stuff and cause unusual situations.

comment Tasks for a split party
#5 was always my default. as for #2 - if the split is long enough you can have a whole session with just two players in between your normal meetings.

comment What are some of the major challenges in playing an Evil Character?
Motivation - players doing evil characters often work in a chaotic way. I once tried to motivate players with the idea of revenge, but they decided to attack and rob the guy who was supposed to help them with it. And they have no interest in maintaining a party/team. three players with selfish characters are hard to manage - they can split up and never want to meet again...

It's fun to spray water on your players' faces, but it gets boring in the long run :P

The throwing stuff is just an anecdote, not a solution (that's how I read this answer). It's about F-U-N that should depend on a GM not some books
