Shifts in aspect assessments To get assessment successful you need to meet difficulty by rolling a success i.e. 0 shift is still success. Additional shifts give you more bonuses that depend on skill and situation and gamemaster |

Shifts in aspect assessments I agree, but assessments do not create new aspects, they just discover existing one. So we can get a tag on discovered aspect, but no more. |

I'm having a problem creating a sleeping potion "Yeah, the object is not to deny a player a potential cool potion in the moment, so much as create the chance for humor and surprise if something goes wrong with the really easy roll. And if they fail it, I wouldn't deny them the potion either - just add the detail that maybe the effects aren't quite entirely as they intended, or some other minor complication." and Leonard Balsera answer to on this one. Lucky day, i say. |

I'm having a problem creating a sleeping potion " Difficulty is set by the GM. Likely defaults to zero unless there's a good reason to set it harder. " -- Answer from Fred Hicks. and +1 |

Do consequences grant you Fate points when compelled by opponents? @edgerunner In raw Dresden Files version of fate compels is always between GM and compelled side. So as player you never will receive fate point from rejected compel you initiated. It is in Diaspora compel can originated from players also. But even in Diaspora rejected compell do not give fatepoints. So yes, you right and you also wrong. |

Do consequences grant you Fate points when compelled by opponents? @edgerunner sorry but you wrong. As stated here (games.groups.yahoo.com/group/FateRPG/message/19519) by Fred Hicks and here by someoneelse (evilhat.wikidot.com/fate-v3:aspects) free tag can initiate invoke for effect which can then initiate compel versus aspect owner. So basically this mean free compel on newly placed aspect via free tag. |
