comment Can I put something wider than 2 feet into a Bag of Holding (such as a humanoid)?
@C.Ross Bringing the phrase "rounded measurements" to a whole new level.

comment Do characters provoke opportunity attack when they leave another character's reach who is not facing them?
My gut tells me if it's optional it's because they had it in there during play testing and found it to be more complication than it was worth to use - lower immersion in exchange for higher, well, fun!

Is the reasoning for this rule ever given?

@CortAmmon So something "exceptional" happens 5% of the time? Seems a but unexceptional to me.

comment How long should I wait to bring back the Player character?
Is this a friendly, casual game? Or a group of more serious players with one who just pushes the boundaries...

comment Should I warn my players when they're about to do something stupid?
(Serious followup question) is fun a primary goal of your campaign? How would your players react if they did said stupid thing? Would they want mulligans/backsies? Would they table.flip()? How they react and what they're after is part of being a good GM.

comment When leveling - Is the hit die only added to the maximum?
This might depend on how "current hit points" is defined. If it's defined as "maximum hit points minus damage taken" then you would effectively get the current hit points increase.

Is this a rant disguised as a question?

comment Is a Hellknight honor bound to challenge a Paladin to a duel?
CG might shoot at LG when the opportunity arises. You know. The C part.

comment Why is interrogating done with roll+CHA instead of +STR?
"Is it hot in here, or is it just battleaxe? Anyway, where is the bandit hideout?"

comment What happens when an Uruk gets an elvish sword?
Why does it have to be the hate of the maker? Sure that's one interpretation, but doesn't mean that has to be our interpretation. Like I say, handwaving for the sake of good story is totally fine. =)

comment What happens when an Uruk gets an elvish sword?
I think the beauty of this answer is you don't need a precedent, though. You can simply say "this is how it is - the sword gets its light from the hate". The only counter argument is... aren't Uruk full of hate anyway, so it would still glow? But I digress a tad. I love the idea of handwaving on this, as long as you're consistent with it.

Wouldn't an orc get great pleasure from an elf being slain with an elven blade?

comment What happens after level 30?
@Beska Think of it like this: imagine an RPG where you were rising the corporate ladder. (What a boring RPG... anyway...) You might get to be a team lead, then a manager, director, senior director, VP, SVP, EVP, President of a large business unit, and eventually CEO. Your career isn't over, but following the path of your rise is.

comment How to handle wealthy player characters as a GM?
Your characters are heroes - they are better than almost everyone they meet. Why shouldn't they be wealthier too?

comment When smashing an object, do you subtract the hardness every time?
It would seem this isn't a perfect parallel to the real world. There are a lot of items that will smash more from later blows than early blows (for example, weakening the outer shell early, and large amounts of damage once the insides are exposed). If that detail were necessary, I would consider using two separate objects - one on the outside with a high toughness that yields a new object with lower toughness once it is destroyed.

Why do I have a feeling most deities would not fail a Will save? =)

comment How do I foster enjoyment in the type of make-believe required in RPGs in a child who isn't old enough to play RPGs?
Draw on their favorite TV shows, but not on their favorite TV. That will end badly.
