Nescire autem quid ante quam natus sis acciderit, id est semper esse puerum. Quid enim est aetas hominis, nisi ea memoria rerum veterum cum superiorum aetate contexitur? -- Cicero, Marcus Tullius (106-43BC)

Where can I find cartography icons for game maps? Could you add some links to some of those resources? |

Where can I find cartography icons for game maps? Deviant art has a lot of brushes that can be used to generate maps. |

Is using the term “gypsy” in a game racist? Why would gypsy be a class? It should be either a "race" (if human/mythical being hybrids) or a social class within humans. |

Bad/Rash character actions and consequences that don't kill my game I'm assuming that Fabulio's player does realise that his character's actions were just wrong... If not, you have a different problem. |

How can I introduce twists to the setting without asking the players +1 for the first sentence alone. This is the best way to do it. |

Lovecraft's Deep Ones and co. in the 21st century @OpaCitiZen: To be fair, my post was in the paranoid style of the books where knowing too much gets you eaten by things Man was not meant to know. The whole point of The Laundry is that the Stars Are Right soon (next ten years) so they are desperatly trying to find some way to survive. Read the two short stories as tasters and if you like them, get the books. |

Thoughts on character Leitmotifs? @ClockworkTower: Do not be discouraged by your question being closed. It is not a permanent state. Look at all the comments, re-frame your question, and you will have a very good and worthwhile question. To be honest, if you leave this as is, I might ask a question about leitmotiff myself -- however, I want you to get the rep! ^_~ |

Thoughts on character Leitmotifs? I think there is a great question here. Can you defined what your problem/issue is more tightly? A good rule is that things asking for lists, discussions, or that are too general cannot have a "best" answered and thus will be closed. What are you trying to solve? Are you unsure how to use the leifmtifs, whether they are a good idea, or how to define one? |
