comment How Can I Undestand Anima's Cosmology, Particularly with Regards to Time
Somewhat related: Have you read the Chronomancer AD&D supplement? It clearly articulates time travel concepts generally. Tangent: Death and Resurrection in a Weird World which has an effects table for what happens when you die in one timeline and an alternate you is pulled into your timeline to facilitate "resurrection".

Did the comment by @Ryno answer this question? If so, maybe the comment could be promoted to an answer.

comment Christmas Themed Campaign
Wizards put out wizards.com/dnd/files/santa.pdf a while back, though you'd need to translate it to 4e. I swear they put out an approximately three session adventure using him as well. From Holiday Adventures! comes the main page Nicholas the Gift-Giver.

comment Gumshoe/Lorefinder - how do you deplete a Boost?
Are you asking for an authoritative source only? or would a reasoned approach based on rules and discussions elsewhere possibly satisfy?

@MikeWills Bummer, I believe that there are several other Andriod apps out there, I won't have time to dig in there until tomorrow at the earliest.

@SevenSidedDie I left the others unbolded intentionally to emphasize that GM and Player discussion were the most important parts.

+1 for the advice about not going with a rouge by default and the point about the degree of success* depending on the player more than the game mechanics. *Success being defined in this comment as: adding interest to the story.

If you'd like specific tactics for the three potential strategies I offer above, leave a comment and I'll try and dig out my 3.5 books.
