Can you use a two handed weapon with light shield? Maybe edit the final question in the post to more closely ask the same thing as the title question? Reading 'No' just after reading 'does that preclude the two handed weapon' is a bit confusing at first. |

How can I roll a character's age using only d6? My thought was d6 * d6 * d6, which feels similar enough to not warrant its own answer. Also, very useful tool...I suppose stack exchange focuses on Q&A, but that tool should be more known here. |

At-Will power side effects outside of combat Silly DMG, ruining my fun. Glad they made a ruling for it, and given that example, I could see how it could be abused. |

Middle age transportation by river questions I'll be using estimates from that second source, so will accept this answer, thank you! For posterities sake, maybe edit the answer to include the hull speed formula (hull speed = 1.34 * sqrt(waterline length) )? |

Middle age transportation by river questions Huh, I didn't know there was a difference between rowing and paddling, thanks for that link (and the others)! I've seen pictures of single sail boats that also involve rowing. Without know much about it, that seems fairly ideal to be able to go both up and down stream, but the link on towing suggests that fighting a current may have been impractical. |
