comment How can I play monsters and NPCs up to their potential?
This question just asks for a "lrn2optimaeze" type of answer. Probably because "proper usage of a given set of abilities" is a significant part of character optimization.

comment Good modifications to the lycanthropy alignment change?
The counterpoint is that they should slowly become chaotic evil via roleplaying, as opposed to a natural 1 on a will save.

Was under impression that KRyan made that exact point in the first place. Yes, he explicitly advices houseruling a part of RAW away, and I can only agree this time.

What KRyan said. If Will save vs changing alignment is still desired, it should be based on actions in animal form, not on number of times the form is changed to animal.

LA buyoff is a great way to ease being a lycantrope a bit, second only to curing the affliction completely.

Sure. Animal hit dice are sub-par compared to just about any other, though.

@corvec I personally use N squared rolls to check if dN is distributed evenly. Tip: chi-squared test. And for d20 that would be 400 rolls, give or take.

comment Druid: how to obtain rage?
Yes, I can't get anything useful out of antropomorphic animals, so I'll use either a familiar (magical training + practiced spellcaster should get me requisite caster level for obtain familiar) or a bard cohort.
