@HeyICanChan off the top of my head, no. I'd take a look in those parts of DMG and PHB that deal with the game flow, but I don't have the books at the moment.

@HeyICanChan Yes. Nothing happens until announced by DM.

@HeyICanChan I'm afraid we're having a slight confusion here over an in-universe action and an out-of-universe action resolution mechanic. Attacking is either hitting or missing, sure; making a roll is just that, rolling a die. Off the top of my head there's nothing in rulebook about that, but it is obvious for any sane person that there IS a finite, greater than zero, noticeable and measurable interval of time between player announcing the attack roll result and GM announcing the attack outcome. Is my point clearer now?

@HeyICanChan There actually is. You roll and you announce your attack result, at which point (in the middle of attack roll resolution, sure) the attack's outcome is already determined BUT you don't yet know what it is, since DM didn't yet told if the attack hit. And that's before we factor in miss chances, immediate actions of the defender, et cetera.

comment Living forever in D&D (via spells)?
Missed the "doesn't fix death from old age" part.

Well, about this 2-hd business. Revivify spell from Miniatures Handbook (Cleric5, Healer5) is a resurrection without attached hd or con loss. It has other drawbacks, though.

Ah, common sense, physics and d&d. Choose one!

comment Can a spellcaster use Harmonic Chorus on himself?
This line of reasoning is understandable, but dangerous. Would you really follow the "what is not prohibited is allowed" way in your D&D? And maybe my English is not good enough, but I can't see how "another spellcaster" is an ambiguous designator.

Thanks for the comprehensive answer! Though I must point out immediately that "attack roll not yet happened" and "attack roll happened but the outcome is still unknown to character" do not differ from the character's point of view.

comment How would you interpret “incapacitate” for a spell?
@MichaelBorgwardt Can't really agree with uneven fight part. The cat still wants to play after taking a Stunbolt/Tazer to the head? That needs to be addressed.

comment When does the PR Bonus affect Focus Power Tests?
That could be an interesting house rule, though rules as written state pretty clearly that you apply the bonus to every Focus Power Test, opposed or not.

Exactly. Updated the answer with your example. Do remember, though, that pushing ascertains psychic phenomena and, therefore, you will roll on Perils table once per 4 invocations, since 1st rank Librarian does not have any perils-related talents. Consequences may be grave.

@JoachimSauer he released the source codes, so someone might continue the work.

It is, and I can elaborate on that, but it would be hard not to devolve to edition war, IMO.

@Cobalt right, stun damage only.

In that case your Matrix Initiative is indeed 11.

Therefore, technomancer's Matrix Initiative is indeed Intuition + Intuition + 1 (hotsim), where the first summand is actually your Response and therefore is limited by Resonance.

You surely remember that technomancer's living persona Response is equal to his Intuition, right?

comment Bows in ShadowRun: How do I calculate the damage?
@Pureferret the same page, description of the bow, says "Bows have minimum Strength ratings, ...". 1.5*rating cap is said to be mentioned in German printing of Arsenal (not necessarily first) or in the errata for it (along with the ratings for arrows), but I don't have access to German books.
