I have been running role playing games now for about 4 or 5 years, and my system of choice by far is Savage Worlds. I've played in and run games using a number of others, but none I have used so far clicks quite so well. I enjoy running games far more than I do playing in them, and my greatest experience so far has been a long running zombie apocalypse game that recently concluded.

I currently run several games - A Deadlands Reloaded campaign, a Hellfrost campaign, and I am just gearing up to start something using Unknown Armies, a completely new system to me.

How many times have you actually killed the characters belonging to the problem players? The reason I ask is that it is not immediately clear from the question whether you've ever actually gone that far or pull back at the last minute and let them survive

Doh, my mistake. Thank you very much for the edit - I really should wear my glasses more often

It's worth noting that Roll20 has no Pathfinder rules built into it. You have to add all the macros etc yourself

I could swear this is a duplicate, but I'm having trouble finding it

comment In need of general tips for making more interesting and fun battles
In that case we will just have to agree to disagree. From personal and other GM's experience, some players simply don't enjoy combat :o)

comment What to do when a player dislikes his character, that is vital for the story?
I think the second point about prevention is really important. If you are truly giving your players the opportunity to affect the direction that a story goes in and rolling with the punches that random dice rolls can give you, then relying on a specific anything happening or not happening is pretty much futile.

comment Is the Pathfinder FAQ considered RAW?
I don't think it's a necessarily a silly question when taken in the context it is asked, which relates to the use of the 'RAW' phrase on this site.

comment Epic Maneuvers?
@JackLesnie The age of the question doesn't matter on this site. If you feel your answer adds something that existing answers don't, that's all that matters

comment What are established ways for playing a campaign based on a real-life environment?
Having run a 2 and a half year post-apoc game I cannot agree more with @JoshuaAslanSmith here. Adhering too closely to fact can become a straight jacket, and you risk spending more time obsessing about the precise location of a particular shop etc than you do over the fun story stuff. It's certainly an interesting basis for a campaign, but make sure to remember to keep things in perspective, especially during your prep.

comment How can I let one of my players secretly be a lot stronger than they know?
A good answer. Another approach to appease the others is to give the powerful one corresponding downsides to their status

comment How can I make Corporate SINner worth the karma as a GM?
I guess my question would be whether spending Edge in that way is within the RAW. If not then you've effectively overruled one of the significant and important drawbacks of having fake SINs

comment How can I plan, prepare, and enforce an episodic structure?
Do you have a particular system in mind? I have a feeling answers could vary hugely, particularly given that an 'appropriate length' depends a lot on the complexity of what you are playing.

I think some people do stuff like that using bounties. Effectively, if you think an answer deserves more, add a bounty to the question and reward it to the answer you like

comment How can player characters restore a mostly-burned note?
I'm not familiar with the system, but surely this would not work if they literally only had a very small number words the original note was made up of?

comment What are the best computer generators for historical timelines?
Hi and welcome to the site. Unfortunately in its current format this question is not a good fit for this site as it is too broad. In order for it to be improved you will need to provide a definition of what a 'good generator' is from your point of view.

I don't understand why this question is being voted to close when there are many similar questions under the Probability tag that are just fine, eg rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/14690/… rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/34173/…

Note that it is almost always better to make your question as specific as possible to your situation (as you have done here) rather than make it artificially broad so that it is 'more useful'. All that tends to do is invite more wishy washy and vague answers that aren't as good at solving the actual problem you have.

@Dakeyras you might want to make that a proper answer - it's short and sweet, but I think it is an excellent suggestion
