I'm relatively new to role playing, and am a Savage Worlds nut. I currently GM two games, one using the War of the Dead published campaign, the other set in the Deadlands Reloaded world.

Can Arcane Powers be used with double action? My understanding is that by the core rules it is not possible to take two arcane backgrounds. See peginc.com/forum/…. You might want to qualify your second exception to make this clearer. |

Can Arcane Powers be used with double action? I also remember the post you are referring to, but can't for the life of me find it on the official forums. On the whole I would tend to agree with SSD, in that whether this is applicable will depend on the specific setting, and the trappings involved in actually using powers. |

Can Arcane Powers be used with double action? That is a very good point. Do you mind if I edit this into my answer? |

What are the things every Savage Worlds player should know? Edited to correct the above comment. Also, I'm a little unclear what is meant by 'So even a low Skill rating is usually better than just a Stat', because even if you don't have the Skill you roll it unskilled rather than using the linked Primary Trait. |

Balance between planning and improvising I think this will be impossible to answer 'correctly' as different GMs favour different approaches. |

How do I GM an encounter where all characters are effectively blind? Excellent answer, particularly about focusing on the other senses in describing the scene. |

How can I stop a large level disparity from being a problem? +1 for dynamic challenges and splitting the group to keep things interesting for all parties |

How does “failure” work in Dungeon World? How does it move the story forward? This isn't worth an answer in its own right but why isn't a complication as a result of failiure seen as advancing the story? You are making the situation more difficult/challenging/interesting with whatever complication you are introducing. In my view this counts as advancing the story... |

Old School gamer attempting to get back into it…with some trepidation I've read through your post a number of times now and I'm struggling to get exactly what it is you are asking here. Would it be possible for you to add a summary of the exact questions you are asking at the end of the post? |

Can you fire a double barrelled shotgun at two different targets in one action? Agreed after confirming on the official Savage Worlds website. My answer was totally wrong :) |

What field-specific puzzles can I give to engineering and psychology students? Haven't got an answer, but just wanted to say this is a really interesting question :) |

Can a Hypnotism target be forced to move before its attack? You might want to split off your question about increasing attack bonus to hit into a seperate question. It keeps things far cleaner that way |

How to impose consequences for breaking the Paladin's Code without coming off as a insensitive GM? This is a good answer, but doesn't cover approaches out of character. |

Sites for finding online RPG players for a play-by-chat RPG Campaign? Could be argued either way. From my experience though the sites listed in the possible duplicate are likely to come up again for this question. |

Design an almost unbeatable creature I'm a little confused as to why this has been flagged as a duplicate. The question is 'how do I show that the dragon is not the mission objective' as opposed to 'how do I make the PCs flee'. Is this discrepancy because it's been rewritten since it was closed? |

Design an almost unbeatable creature I'm with Simon on this. I think you're better solutions are going to have little to do with game mechanics and statting the monster. It is all going to depend on the approach of your players and what their expectations are. If they never run from a fight, then they aren't going to run from this one. For it to work without being forced you need some really heavy foreshadowing to make it clear they absolutely do not have any chance of defeating it. |

How to deal with players who like to use the local authorities to solve their problems +1 a good answer with a very clearly laid out example of what you mean, and it is not rambling at all |

How to deal with players who like to use the local authorities to solve their problems This is certainly one way of looking at it. However, if the campaign being run depends on the characters being independent then it will run into problems, and becomes an issue of player/GM different expectations. |
