revised Were there gray renders before the year 2000?
The linkec Wikipedia article dates them back to 3.0, at least. (2000)

comment Is there a D&D 3.5 fighting class with more non-combat use than the fighter?
Roy's out-of-combat utility is mainly in those areas which are more a function of the player than of the character - i.e. the player would have those same things regardless of character. If you aren't the leader of the party, then as a fighter, your utility is still restricted out-of-combat.

comment Targets and multiple attacks on a full round action
Additionally, you can still choose between a full-attack or a standard attack (and therefore make a move action) after the first attack: "After your first attack, you can decide to take a move action instead of making your remaining attacks, depending on how the first attack turns out. If you’ve already taken a 5-foot step, you can’t use your move action to move any distance, but you could still use a different kind of move action."

@BBlake That's not what the SRD says - you still get your 5' step, but since it is a full-round action, you don't get a separate move action: "The only movement you can take during a full attack is a 5-foot step. You may take the step before, after, or between your attacks."

comment Why should I take demolitions in SotC?
Being able to point to relevant aspects, skills and stunts should also give your GM more reasons to allow you to do things. If it's a borderline decision whether you should be able to blow that thing up, it might persuade them if you can point to your demolitions skill and say "I'm pretty good at finding the weak points".
