Universalis: The thundering herd — Where did I misunderstand the rules? What I'd really like to know is if the rules (as written) prevent this shenanigan. It requires an unusual enough combination of effects that I might have played it wrong. |

Universalis: The thundering herd — Where did I misunderstand the rules? I could buy a trait like "prefers single combat", which would give me double points if I try to veto a new fact. I don't think that specifically helps in a complication. Plus, I would have to preemptively notice that a master component is ripe to be used this way, and spend my coin. If I have to, the tenet is much cheaper, and correctly addresses this problem at the meta-level. |

Since there are actually Trolls in Shadowrun, is there another word used for “Trolling” a forum? PC appeasement of trolls is just lame... No offense meant to those who have suffered crippling injuries. |

How should a GM deal with player-instigated sexuality in an RPG? Unless you're in the Humanists (?), when you'll get secret tips on those things from your contacts... |

What is the point of a spell component pouch? "cursed to have little tyrannosaurus arms" -- I have to try that. |

How to make magic items more interesting? Paizo sells a set of cards with illustrations and blank notes areas for exactly this purpose. |

Where do dual-wielding rangers come from? I had heard that Drizzt dual-weilded because Drow got that for free in 1st ed, but that it moved from a Drow ability to a Ranger ability because of him. (I have no useful references on this.) |

In a game set “ten years into the future” what are some narrative techniques to explain away the lack of significant tech advances? It seems that the point of a "ten years into the future" timeline is exactly so that there isn't great change. It takes 10 years or more for a cutting-edge technology to go mainstream, so anything you've never heard of today is still experimental, and anything you'd like to make ubiquitous is, but nothing has to be. The reason is that it takes time for things to be adopted. |

What alternatives to hit points are there for abstracting wounds? The key to Dresden's non-HP-ness is the consequences -- one your (2-4) stress are used up, you have to start taking consequences, which are aspects, and can be used to influence the outcome in more ways than just absorbing damage. |

Statless & diceless systems Polaris is very close -- the vast majority of the game's action is by the use of ritual phrases. There are stats, but they are more related to the long term story arc than to character skills. |

Character generation for the dresden files “case file” adventures I don't seem to be communicating my question well... I was looking to see if there was a process for this. It looks like the answer is really "There's no process, just make stuff up." The questions get you thinking in the right direction, but there's no process. |

Character generation for the dresden files “case file” adventures Is there no procedure for this? The Full City/Character creation is very procedural -- do this, pick an aspect, do that, pick another aspect. This seems like "throw it all against the wall and see what sticks". |

Character generation for the dresden files “case file” adventures Sure, but what's the process for using the questions? Answer them all and take whatever aspects seem interesting? answer them until everyone has seven aspects? something else? The process is missing, and as we're all first-time fate players, I'm really not sure where to go with it. |

How valid is lying to players about the rolls they are making in The Dresden Files? There are many games that put strict definition on the GMs role. "GM tells the story" is a popular assumption, but not an guarantee. |

What is the full list of official Wizards of the Coast D&D settings? I believe that Blackmoor is part of the Mystara setting in TSR Products. There's a 3rd party book on the original Blackmoor setting, which is different, and I believe portions of it are included in Greyhawk as well. |
