A Canadian geek, finishing off a chemistry degree. I typically hang around TeX.SX as I like the community and learn things by reading the questions. I'm also active on RPG.SX and History.SX.

comment How can I safely represent non-combat fire magic?
I know movie sets make very realistic fire using a special, thin cloth, a lightbulb and a fan; I saw a prop like this at the big prop exhibit after the first LotR movie came out. I'm not sure how hard it would be to build something like this, but it gives you another option if you wanted to make a brazier type thing.

comment Can a true neutral character cast spells affected by alignment?
Suppose you are a cleric of a nature god who doesn't care about good or evil. Using Blasphemy to fight an angle leading a group of people to develop the woods could be perfectly within the neutral faith, provided you don't do it a lot. That said, you might want to Holy Word some feinds or something afterwards, just in case.

comment What Lovecraft inspired classes exist?
@KRyan In one way, yes, but if I'm looking for classes in books I already own, or in books my DM allows, then this is far more useful.

comment What Lovecraft inspired classes exist?
@KRyan But yeah, it was one downvote a year ago, just the very first one I got. Let me know what you think of the changes. I admit, I'm a compleationist and like some of the more obscure of Lovecrafts works to his straight up Cthulhu stuff, so that could make my choices look a bit odd.

comment What Lovecraft inspired classes exist?
@KRyan Hah, I put this up over a year ago, I just round it again recently and noticed a bunch of spelling errors. I've actually read very few of these, I just was annoyed there wasn't a comprehensive answer, so read class summaries of all of them and made a full list. I'll bold some of the others as well, based on your suggestions.

@lisardggY I'm with Ryno. You still only hit once, it just means crits do no more damage then a regular hit.

comment How can I make realistic looking potions as handouts
@BrianBallsun-Stanton I worked at Atomic Energy of Canada at the time I go the tours, and was a student at a university with a very small pool reactor my friend was a safety person at when I was offered the tour I didn't take.

@BrianBallsun-Stanton Man, I'm annoyed; I've toured multiple nuclear reactors and I've never seen Chernkov radiation, and I was offered a tour of an open-pool one and never got around to taking my friend up on it, then we both moved jobs.
