Incorporeal and attacking while being incorporeal MM3 page 214 under the Incorporeal Subtype and ToB page 79 can be found this: Nonmagical attacks made by an incorporeal creature with a melee weapon have no effect on corporeal targets, and any melee attack an incorporeal creature makes with a magic weapon against a corporeal target has a 50% miss chance, except for attacks it makes with a ghost touch weapon, while are made normally (no miss chance). |

Incorporeal and attacking while being incorporeal The incorporeal subtype in Monster Manual 3 and Tome of battle state that an incorporeal creature's attacks with melee wepons that are not magical have no effect, and that with magical weapons the creature suffers a 50% miss chance. Your link states otherwise. What is oficial from these two? |

Fleshing out a background and roleplaying it I am asking because i am building a characters background, but still, the idea of questioning myself about my character, though somehow schizophrenic, seems good. |

How can I prevent a TPK without obvious Deus Ex Machina? Revenants, revenants everywhere. |

Does attacking with a gauntlet provoke an attack of opportunity? Okey, thanks. I dislike magic items (long conversation) and i thereby wished that i could have a serious unarmed strike before improved/superior feats (somehow high on my build), but that is not the case. |

Does attacking with a gauntlet provoke an attack of opportunity? So, it basically is a Lesser Improved Unarmed Strike (lethal damage) that pretty much sucks. I am dissapoint. |

Does attacking with a gauntlet provoke an attack of opportunity? Also, what are the spiked gauntlet's rules on the same questions? |

Is every attack against a weapon/shield a sunder attempt? (Also, Mountain Hammer relation to this) Yes, i saw your point after reading your answer or posting the question, my bad. |

Is every attack against a weapon/shield a sunder attempt? (Also, Mountain Hammer relation to this) Thanks for the second part about the Mountain hammer. About the first question though, probably due to my bad wording, you got it wrong. I am asking if you can target and attack a weapon or shield without it being a sunder attempt. It is a rather retarded question, but many hours of wakefulness do that to me. |

Making weapon choices that count, and more realistic/interesting weapons Interesting stuff, maybe key some abilities with BaB and expand them. I will try to come brew something up as well. |

Making weapon choices that count, and more realistic/interesting weapons I am not the DM but a player, at least for now. I also despise magic items and the "christmass tree" effect. Picky gamer here. Thanks for answering anyway. |

Making weapon choices that count, and more realistic/interesting weapons You did not actually answer my question, but i am Greek with a rather nerdy fascination about japanese culture(especially combat) :D |

Is there one type of combat system considered to be more deadly than other alternatives? @KyleWilley It is a system change, you mod the system and how it works, not the setting. Forgotten Realms could be played with basic dnd rules or the mod you proposed, they would still be Forgotten Realms. A setting is a set world or multiverse with set history, places and important people. It is set fluff, not mechanics. Mechanics are a part of the game system, if not whole the game system. |

Would giving a swordsage the Iron Heart discipline unbalance him? Good, thank you. |

Would giving a swordsage the Iron Heart discipline unbalance him? No, he is okay with it. I believe that he does not like the Warblade (never liked crusader so i didnt bother to tell him to take a look at him) because of the full B.a.B, the Hit Dice and the weapon aptitude/uncanny dodge and battle tree class feats. |

Would giving a swordsage the Iron Heart discipline unbalance him? Dm does not allow warblade, and the truth is that i really like the sage in swordsage (hate the wannabe magic understanding though). |

Would giving a swordsage the Iron Heart discipline unbalance him? Alternativelly, would master of the nine worth taking, for swordsage 15/MoN5, just to get some 9 lvl maneuvers, and some Iron Heart ones? |

Are there any official ways to replace magic items? Genrally to balance things up all the party must use the alt rules, i know that. The fact that one has gold to spare could mean anything, if you dont spend on magic items you may want to buy a palace, or throw money in the river. As for the utility, you do have a point, but i am aware of this and willing to drop utility for a moar "my" approach to the character. If one does not like the magic_item_1, giving it to him will raise his utility, but that does not mean he will enjoy this. |
