@Grubermensch That meta discussion seems to be specifically about "explain this basic rule section from the core book". I don't think it applies to any question whose answers use elements from the rulebooks - since that is the case for 80% of the questions here. This question needs some good knowledge about the system to know where to find the info and to explain it. It has one answer, which would most include 6-10 bullet points. As such, I really don't think it fits the "too broad" category.

@Grubermensch I don't see any problem here. There are plenty of questions on this SE that could be solved by reading the rulebooks. In that case, the question is pretty straightforward, and has an answer in the rulebooks, but spread a bit all over the place. It is definitely possible to summarize all those little pieces into one concise and definitive answer, especially since OP has specifically asked about mechanical information.

"Terms like plus your X Ring will be seen quite a lot, when they happen, they mean a static bonus." Actually in that situation they usually say "your X Ring is added to the total of the roll" or something like that, hence the confusion.

comment Point Buy system in Maid RPG?
It's quite difficult to answer that question... While there can be an answer to "Have you successfully used a point-based creation system in Maid RPG?", it is more difficult to answer "Would this houserule work?"

comment Relative strengths/weaknesses of Undead and Fair Folk
@SevenSidedDie Well, a game I'm a part of might end up with a big "world war" between those three factions (undead/fae/demons). In order to plan our next moves, we are trying to figure out if a side is immune/resistant/weak to another side's powers or not. For example, as a player, I have heard things such as "Fae are good allies if you need to fight undead", but I have also heard "Fae are especially weak against undead", with no explanation on one side or another. So I'm trying to get a more definite, backed up, and clear answer on that matter

Also it's not about just finding the entries, Exalted has a lot of weird interaction things (for example Sidereals charms, and who they can apply to and why) that requires more of a global knowledge of how the setting and its magic work.

@gatherer818 Well, originally it was a question such as "what are the advantages/disadvantages of undead/demons/fae against each others", which was closed for being too broad, with the advice of making it three separate questions. So...
