Superhero cinematic gaming — looking for a system its cinematic by nature of how its rules system works, your question is nearly the equivalent of "have you played a 4e based game with heavy tactical play?" and unless batman, the flash, the xmen, spawn, green lantern, and every other super hero I can think of are still superheros yes again..... I think you are trying to split hairs a bit too many times. I'm not the first person to suggest a fate based system, I just gave more detail... |

Dealing with a problem player not playing to their character aspects yea, I've tried that a few times with talking about it gently & got pushback about how he really likes what his aspects describe |

Are there any examples of modeling “Competence Porn” in FATE? It's also possible that your players are always spending fate points instead of making assessments. "navel fazing maneuvers & assessments to prep can be even more powerful than going in blind & using a fate point dump at zero hour after the roll |

What games exist with a focus on travelling between alternate universes? A game cenetered around worldbuilding of those dimensions is going to be different from one focused on any random grouping of them with all of them probably being too mired in rules to be playable enough to print |

What games exist with a focus on travelling between alternate universes? This question only says what you are not looking for. I think it will require more fleshing out, perhaps with an example of the type of things you wan to be doing with your players... The closest it comes is mentioning a decade old tv show (95-2000) that ranged from total plot of the week one offs to be forgotten all the way too plot of the week loosely tied into a vague long term plot involving one of the main characters, a group of baddies, and/or an individual baddie. The episodes range from heavy social interaction to action to drama and/or wilderness/urban survival |
