comment Could you be able to hide your mount with HiPS?
@SangoProductions What I'm saying is that while you might be able to hide your horse, unless the horse is very well trained in hiding the horse is going to do something that wipes out your careful hiding. A human can understand to freeze as directed, the horse normally can't.

@SangoProductions Sure, magic can be applied to the horse. Skills are another matter, though.

Another factor: Unless you have a very well-trained horse, even if you managed to hide it would it stay hidden??

comment Is there any way I can doff armor in a single turn?
@Maarten Except that a stripper is unlikely to start out wearing armor I agree. It sounds to me that that's what he's after--tear-away pseudo-armor.

@Jason_c_o It's not like he needs to hide it. What's the harm in people knowing someone has a trick armor? The armorsmith need not know who it's actually for (he'll have seen their face, that doesn't mean he knows who they actually are) or that it's for a sorc pretending to be a fighter and not something theatrical.

comment How do I know who can see me when I'm invisible?
I disagree here. Anyone using magic that reveals invisibility almost certainly considers an invisible opponent a possibility. At that point it seems to me sense motive is the relevant check (assuming the person is trying to let the invisible character think he's undetected. If he's not trying I would go no higher than DC5 if that.)

comment Is this custom hat-turret too cheap?
It sounds to me like it can cast it's spells on it's own. That magic missile is generally going off every round on the hat's enemies.

@Xan System-agnostic--the same logic applies to such things no matter what the system.

@Charles I seem to have mistaken sphere packing for coin packing. You're right.

Sure, but I'm talking about pulling the ladder out to use it for something other than accessing the hole.

Coins aren't solid metal unless you have some very strange square coins. The best packing you're going to get is about 2/3 metal with round coins.
