comment Removing attack spells from Cantrips
@mike I think I understand your sentiments for keeping the casters from "spamming pew pew cantrips". It is worth noting however that in previous editions casters possessed powerfull (often over-powered) low-level spells that allowed for effective dealing with encounters using only one of them, such as Sleep, Grease, Chromatic spray etc. In Next those spells are significantly nerfed and by no means offer the same advantage they previously offered. Sleep for instance only has the potential to affect 3-4 level 1 creatures atm. It becomes almost unusable by level 2-3.

comment Do any of the pre-gens have daily powers?
It is worth noting at this point that thanks to careful design Next seems to be doing a pretty decent job in the balance aspect as well. Certainly better than earlier editions, though probably not as balanced as 4e due to system constraints.

comment How can I make an exceptionally savage Gangrel?
@Jackskel21 I am not so familiar with the nWoD setting but is there any mention to diableries (eg a vampire drinking another vampires blood and soul to increase his own power)? If so that is what you need, the most hideous act known in the vampire society, far worse than any murder or rape.

comment What do you do when there's nothing to do in combat?
+1 for the 'Screw the Rules' part, D&D is one of those games that could use some improvisation.

@waxeagle That is more than likely. I will keep that in mind next time I play 4e.

comment How to deal with lack of downtime as a wizard?
I didn't mention the 2/spells per level because I found it too obvious. However the rest is very helpful. I have the impression the "24 consecutive hours" thing is house-ruled but will check again.

comment How to deal with lack of downtime as a wizard?
@Yamikuronue Because if I do stay inside doing nothing but writing spells the rest of the party will try to find other things to do, possibly resulting in shenanigans and retarded/boring RP. The DM will then refrain from giving them side-quests in order to not cause an exp. gap... To conclude, I have a feeling he is trying to avoid giving us too much nothing-to-do-time.

@SimonGill That sounds quite reasonable. I assumed there would be a source stating that demiplanes inherit their properties from their "parent" plane but I haven't found something similar.
