comment Does unlimited Wild Shape make Circle of the Moon archdruids virtually unkillable?
well, warcraft lore and D&D have a lot in common :P

comment Does unlimited Wild Shape make Circle of the Moon archdruids virtually unkillable?
Small correction: It's power word: Kill, and it's probably the single best way to beat up a Druid that likes to use this feature :)

comment Do damaging magic Effects deal automatic or rolled damage?
Hmm, having read revised as well, I can honestly say they probably tried to "standardize" and limit the use of successes to form Effects but ended up making it more complicated than the free-form approach of the previous book :/

comment Do damaging magic Effects deal automatic or rolled damage?
I see, but the contribution of successes kinda confused me. M20 mentions (p.502) how different Effects have a minimum number of successes required. Do there contribute to the damage/duration or only the ones beyond base/required successes do?

Would homebrew options that need to be worked on be acceptable for your need?

comment What happens to objects, changed while transmuted using Minor Alchemy, after they revert?
@GMJoe My BSc is in Informatics so I'm not entirely sure :P I was thinking of the distinction between physical and chemical alteration (here we have the second) because there is no physical force affecting the 'item', rather a change in it's own nature which may in fact change it's shape (eg solid pieces reverting into dust)

comment How do polymorph-like spells interact with spellcasting capability?
I believe that all 3 provide different merits/limitations regarding spellcasting in particular, which are not immediately obvious and wanted to convey that in my question. Perhaps the optimization tag should be here too. Got any suggestions for formatting?

comment Are spent spell slots maintained when True Polymorphing between two spellcasting forms?
@DaleM Truth is I've been wondering for a while so, later, I might post a more general form along the lines of "How do Poly line of spells work with spellcasting abilities, in comparison".

comment Are spent spell slots maintained when True Polymorphing between two spellcasting forms?
A pretty good question here though is "if True Poly essentially gives you a whole new array of spell slots then is there any reason to use Shapechange (which explicitly allows you to keep your own spellcasting abilities) over TP?"

comment How to distinguish between arcane and divine spellcasters?
One could also add custom spells in the mix. Casters and especially arcanists are known to develop their own modified spells so there's nothing preventing you from having a higher level spell like "Analyze Magic Aura" in your table.

comment Can a mage use multiple Foci to decrease the difficulty of an Arete roll?
It's funny because I was thinking of making a Constantine-like hollow one... :P Do you have any sources to support this? Unique and unneeded Foci give a total of -2 so do you think that could apply here, making the 3rd one redundant if Midnight had an Arete of 6, making him not need Foci foci for this Spirit Effect?

comment How bad is Sunlight Sensitivity (of Drow, etc.), especially for casters?
Or you can use save-based spells. The Acid-Splash cantrip is also a nice alternative to the commonly selected Firebolt, due to targeting different DC (Ref-Save vs AC) and being one extra type of damage that allows you to deal with more creatures.

comment Can a duskblade's Arcane Channeling affect a target more than once per round?
This info is more than helpful to me, thanks a lot :). I am just not sure if I should change my accepted answer to this one considering it doesn't offer anything more on the original question. Big thanks anyway.

comment Can a duskblade's Arcane Channeling affect a target more than once per round?
@HeyICanChan Wait, you're certain..? Duskblades get both Scorching and Polar Ray in their spell list, it would seem touch includes Ranged Touch spells. If so, that would be a problem considering our Duskblade has been using it for ages to deal significant damage in his attacks since level 6...

comment How can an intelligent magic lance change what type of weapon it is?
OP might also want to consider the Transmuting property(from the same book), which allows the weapon to adapt it's physical element so as to bypass damage reduction as it sounds thematically appropriate

comment How to deal with lack of downtime as a wizard?
@mcv It does exist though most people agree that due to the explicit description of spell preparation routine in PHB's wizard entry, by RAW you need 8h of rest to prep. spells no matter what. Thus ring of sustenance is the most useless item for a wizard...

comment Heart of Water and grappling threats
@BESW I really have no specific criteria or scenarios in mind. I am just looking for an overall good way of dealing with grappling threats and in spite of various recommendations HoW seems quite lacking for this due to the action cost in an average situation. I will try to clarify that in the question.

comment Justice of Weald & Woe PrC and Fighter levels
I am well aware of the feats requiring fighter levels. Weapon spec. allows ranged/melee weapon mastery though which is a very common reason to try and get it in various builds.

comment Removing attack spells from Cantrips
@mike I think I understand your sentiments for keeping the casters from "spamming pew pew cantrips". It is worth noting however that in previous editions casters possessed powerfull (often over-powered) low-level spells that allowed for effective dealing with encounters using only one of them, such as Sleep, Grease, Chromatic spray etc. In Next those spells are significantly nerfed and by no means offer the same advantage they previously offered. Sleep for instance only has the potential to affect 3-4 level 1 creatures atm. It becomes almost unusable by level 2-3.
