  • The best gaming advice: Talk to each other like reasonable adults.
  • Dice fudging and Rule Zero are bullshit.
  • Dungeon World is a better D&D than D&D.
  • Ignoring rules is a sign that you're playing the wrong game.
  • Metagaming is not a four-letter word.
  • System matters.

comment How to simulate distraction during battle without actually distracting the players?
(Deleted and edited my comment from earlier:) Seems annoying and gimmicky. But if you don't use it more than once, you should be fine. Unless it's Paranoia, I prefer to use a game's mechanics for this sort of thing.

comment What happens when a phasing creature cannot end its movement in an unobstructed space?
Yes. You see as much as you can see normally, I assume. It's weird, but that's the rule.

comment Dreyfus model of skill acquisition for skill advencements
Because five levels = five dots in Storyteller? Sounds a bit more simplistic than the model as described.

comment Tips for running a successful and engaging campaign WITHOUT combat?
We've had whole game sessions go by where no one touches a die. = We're not engaging the mechanics or rules in any way. = We're doing freeform roleplay. Nothing wrong with that, but it's not a game anymore.

comment Written and verbal incident reports in Time & Temp
1. It sort of doesn't make sense without it. 2. I'm pretty sure I asked Eppy about Incident Reports at some point.

comment In what order does the Temporal Villain check off numbers on the Anachronometer?
Yes, every time a dot gets filed past the line. I just clarified my answer to reflect that. The temps are pushing their luck every time they pick a result that's already been used twice.
