comment Do I get to choose spells for a Faerie Dragon Familiar?
Sure. The Faerie Dragon has an SLA too. Greater Invisibility, Self Only, 3/day. In addition to it's SLA, it has Spells. Just like, say, a Drow Sorcerer would. I'm not denying that the SLA is immutable. But the other spells listed are listed separately as Spells Known. Which means something very different from Spell-Like Ability. (The thread you've linked, meanwhile, is also not relevant to the question I'm asking. It discusses whether the Dragon's caster level scales, which it almost certainly does not, as I noted. There is no discussion of changing the spell list.)

Except that they're not listed under the racial stats. They're listed in the same place as NPC Sorcerer or NPC Wizard's Spells Known are listed.

comment How to deal with players rolling dice before establishing the context of the action?
The one exception I tend to allow, is if a player is narrating a course of action, and wants to roll what they think is appropriate as the roll for that course of action as they narrate it - declaring it at that moment - I'll let the roll stand if it was relevant. For example, "I'm going to sneak up behind him -and roll stealth - and then try to stab him in the back! [roll to hit]"

"Both of mine were female; this helped." Really? REALLY?

comment Which Golarion deities would support and encourage a Witch-Hunter Inquisitor among their faithful?
Not trust him until he earns it; it's really no different from the paladin being in a party with a thief -- a delicate, but by no means intractable situation.

Part of the problem is that I'm not entirely sure. :P Waiting on the DM to make up his mind between Reign of Winter, Iron Gods, and Wrath of the Righteous. As for alignment, I'm comfortable working with any non-evil generally.

@LeesudFreak I probably wouldn't accept an answer based only on 3.5 material. But I'd probably upvote it. :)

+1 for refluffing. There's no reason not to go that route, and it's quite easy to do.

comment Blood Obsessed Character with Weaponized Blood?
It'd be stupidly easy to refluff an Alchemist to say that the 'key ingredient' of his various bombs/extracts is a drop of his own sanguine essence. You may also want to look into the Scarred Witch Doctor archetype - and even combine it with White Haired Witch and refluff the hair-weapon into a 'bloodblade' of some sort.

Aha! I had missed the High Arcana talent; yup, that clarifies things explicitly and perfectly.

comment What items and environment does an Alchemist need to brew Extracts?
It's important to clarify here: to brew capital P Potions that can be use by anyone and don't count against his spells per day? Or to brew his own alchemical Extracts?

comment What are some suggestions for a brawler-type unarmed character in Pathfinder?
Another option that you might want to consider is going with Natural Weapons - for instance, an Alchemist with the Feral Mutagen discovery, is an unorthodox, but very potent 'unarmed' melee combatant. Or of course, any race with natural attacks, at which point, you can play any martial class - Ranger with the Natural Weapon specialization is another option... etc.

@mxyzplk I'm sorry, but I didn't think "How do I add an ability" was particularly unclear.

comment How can I add an ability to PCGen?
My question was not if it's possible. My question was how. There's a reason that link-only answers are generally frowned upon at StackExchange.

Linking me to the manual, (which I was aware of, and cannot make heads or tails of, so I assume that it's not particularly clear, which in turn leads to my asking my question here), and someplace else on the internet to ask the same question is not a particularly good answer. A good answer would actually, y'know, answer the question.

comment How can I add an ability to PCGen?
This isn't a yes or no question. Though I allowed for the possibility that I was asking for something impossible, I thought I was pretty clear in my use of the word how, that a simple link to the manual is not a Good Answer.
