I'm a game designer that's been playing tabletop games since the early '00s. Most of my experience is with the D&D 3/3.5/Pathfinder ruleset, but I've bee branching out more in the past few years.

comment Is a Summoner wearing Mithral Breastplate subject to ASF?
Nope. He'll be getting a -1 ACP in Mithral Breastplate, but I don't think that matters, as far as ASF is concerned.

-1: I'm aware that the ASF would be 10%, but it would also be light armor. Summoners ignore ASF from light armor. If you're saying that Summoners take this ASF even though the breastplate counts as medium, could you please make that a bit clearer, and explain why?

comment Ways to solve balance problems with a Master Summoner
@Rob I don't like cooldowns in tabletop games, personally. I feel like the 'limit total summons out at once' option accomplishes the same thing, without the clunkiness of a cooldown.

@Kelvin The Protection from Good thing is in response to the player using Summon Good Monster, specifically. Making the player summon neutral or evil monsters is totally cool; in fact, the point of using Protection from Good is to accomplish exactly that.
