Roleplayer, lapsed blogger, and full-time dad.

Started playing with AD&D 1e and GMing with AD&D 2e. Ran D&D 3.x, 4e briefly, then became a fan of indie games and the OSR. Particularly fond of GMless and short-form games because they suit a busy schedule and are good for enticing non-gamers into the hobby.

comment What ranked Edge is Fast Regeneration equivalent to?
Note that balance is less important for heavily story-hooked Edges like this. SW discourages letting anyone just take Edges without fitting the character concept, and this one has very hefty story requirements that simply won't be justifiable by most PCs: becoming a zombie-thing!

comment Must a situation's obvious characteristics be explicitly made into aspects?
This is great, and I think a much more focused answer than mine.

revised What skill should a Tech-priest use for reprogramming machines?
more descriptive title; copyedit the body; remove code formatting from non-code (caps are enough to mark skill names); deleted 2 characters in body; edited title

comment How should I inform players about 'meta-objectives'?
Most players I know who need guidance about reputation mechanics in the first place will completely ignore that as simply local colour, and completely forget about it when the bar brawl turns fireballs-and-magic-swords deadly (as these things seem wont to do).

revised How should I inform players about 'meta-objectives'?
light copyedit; use "players" when talking about people at the table, "PCs" when it's their characters

comment Must my dungeon consist entirely of corridors?
@GMJoe Cool, that makes sense, and it's an eye-catching title.

comment Must my dungeon consist entirely of corridors?
@sergut Network policy is to not put tags in the title unless they are an integral part of the sentence that can't be removed grammatically. Besides, that's a good side effect! ACKS is a D&D system, so some few of those readers may become interested, get it, and become new ACKS experts.

Always awesome to see the designer sharing the thinking behind the design! Thank you.

comment Was a “divine wish” spell ever mentioned in any published game materials?
Ah! Actually, you underestimate the Internet. ;) Homebrew for AD&D was being shared on USENET before the web was popular. So it's entirely possible they saw a homebrew, and asking for officialness could be a red herring.

I think your intuition that it's absurd to conclude "dungeons only have corridors in this world" already answers this question. What is your real question? Is it "how do I assess the value of a reclaimed dungeon"?

It sounds like you don't actually have any strong requirements that need to be met with expert recommendations (that's what this site specialises in), you just need pointers to directories where you can poke around and see what catches your eye. Is that about right?
