Roleplayer, lapsed blogger, and full-time dad.
Started playing with AD&D 1st edition and started GMing with AD&D 2nd edition. Ran D&D 3rd edition, D&D 4th edition briefly, then became a fan of indie games and the OSR. Particularly fond of GMless and short-form games because they fit nicely into a busy schedule, and are very good for enticing non-gamers into the roleplaying hobby.

Where can I find a lot of d20 Modern mods? In the past that's made for an acceptable question, so I don't think this will get closed (or it will and then get reopened). |

How can I let players make more choices during combat? But you're using the morale rules for the enemy then? And reaction rolls (if appropriate) when they meet? |

How can I let players make more choices during combat? Are you using morale and henchmen rules? If not, those inject significant new variables into combat. |

In D&D, A PC became king. How do I keep him in check? @Bryce A Game of Thrones even has a king lamenting that he can't just go about "adventuring" anymore because of the weight of kingly duties. |

What alternatives are there for replacing the D&D memorize and forget magic rules @KRyan Ah, I'm reading that differently. They asked for the proportion of spells to keep the same balance. I don't believe game balance is actually mentioned. |

What alternatives are there for replacing the D&D memorize and forget magic rules @KRyan Yes, there is such thing as a "non-char-op" game: it's one where people don't care about the power balance because their play objectives are orthogonal. Just because the power-balance axis exists in every game doesn't mean it's relevant to every game. |
