I am an avid RP and tabletop gamer, currently designing a tabletop skirmish game of my own. It is a hobby of mine to sit down with a core book for a game and decipher its system.

comment Do pregnancies apply at the Bawdyhouse?
This actually sparked some great debate in a game of 7th Sea I sat in on. The GM had deemed that a female character in the party had gotten pregnant and the debate was whether or not this took away from the game as a source of fantasy.

Added another two cents, but nothing revolutionary after skimming a couple key chapters.

I added a more mechanically specific solution however I will take a moment to consult my book before editing again.

comment Total or partial removal of skill cap in d20
Plus there's the whole issue with Rogues and how many skill points they get. Imagine getting 80 skill points without a limit.

comment Should I read the Dresden Files fiction before I get the RPG?
I have to side with "If you haven't read it, there better be someone there who has"

comment How to deal with overly cautious players?
I could see if the "party" could use diplomacy to get out of the way, but maybe start playing the critters such that they will stalk the party since they're giving off a "prey" vibe.

I was thinking about that whole Paranet thing and trying to remember. That might've had more with the Fae

comment Samurais studying abroad: automatic killing machines?
The Mirumoto defense bonus is not nearly as potent at rank 1 in the school as in 3e and back. You would only really get +2 to your Armor TN. Although I believe that Akodo 1 + Yoritomo 1 are pretty formidable.

In 4e you don't switch iaijutsu and kenjutsu for Mirumoto or Kakita. 3e and back you can though.

comment Avoiding Sneak Attack
If you're alone against both a fighter and a rogue, odds are flanking is on the lower end of your concerns, haha
