I am an avid RP and tabletop gamer, currently designing a tabletop skirmish game of my own. It is a hobby of mine to sit down with a core book for a game and decipher its system.

comment How do we make Hacking take less time without sacrificing Complexity?
Edited the answer to include automatic successes. I had to check my book for if it was x4 or x3

You can also do a hot run where you have the hacker breaking locks as they go because if you do it too soon, their white hats could reset security before you get on site. You might have to break into combat time to parse it out but it gives everyone something.

comment Quick Draw / Quick Sheath Items?
That's precisely what it is, actually: An extra flick to get blood off of it.

comment Decking in combat seems useless. Have we missed something?
I edited my answer a bit. Still thumbing matrix actions for more specifics.

Agreed entirely, but I'm just here to say how it's done.

comment Do advantages in Fate Core just “wear off?”
It is the closest FATE based book I had. I'm diving into my archives to find the right term, but the mechanic is still sound

comment Can a sleeping character Hide?
Strictly speaking, no which is why I have a section for as close to the RAW as possible. Conceal % was just a way to make the math less crunchy, making a spot check more or less a ranged touch attack.

Hiding in a burlap sack is invisible but still hittable even if by accident. If you're completely behind a partition wall it's 100% concealment from the wrong angle.

To the downvote: Why?

My mistake. Ultimately, the bottom line is that everything a Courier does "touches" a file and can be tr5aced back to the courier. A Data Sprite is incognito unless someone is looking for a watermark, and even then the source is subject to the message.

To the downvote, could you at least explain why?

comment Which class should my “fallen” paladin change to?
Isn't that class outside of the approved materials?

Doesn't the alignment restriction make this an issue though?

comment Which class should my “fallen” paladin change to?
-1 because he specifically said he will be True Neutral with no religion. Avenger is a CG class, comes from an unapproved source, and still requires faith (as an alternate Paladin build)

comment Do other vampires feel pleasure for being bitten (kissed)?
I believe if you're not a kindred, you need a Willpower 9+ to resist. The furballs just have a larger blood pool so something interceding has a greater chance to do something.

comment Punishment for failing to impress the god of storytelling?
The only problem I can think of with speaking in puns/riddles/etc. is that the players themselves might forget or not be able to live up to the challenge although it might be a fun one in the right group.

Thank you for that - it brings to light an edit I need to make

Slight edit with that new info. With more insight into the party/situation I'll tailor the answer.

comment rigging precision SR5
I put that a rigger can pilot while a 'Soft shoots and vice-versa since the Rigger can, while jacked in, control the vehicle and if using a PAN can in theory use all systems solo (assuming I read the rules right)

comment Are 'Mechs included in A Time of War's core book?
I +1'd Yogo's answer for sure. There were useful snippets in there.
