How can I create a megadungeon in a futuristic/post-apocalyptic setting? Or a derelict space elevator - it even provides a natural culmination (deal with, I dunno, an insane AI controlling the station at the top). You'd have to hitch a ride when you can, otherwise it'll take forever to get up the thing. For inspiration there's a section with a guy walking down one in either The Golden Age or its sequel, though he manages to slide down a lot of it. |

Regeneration while dying in 4th edition Huh so is "dies" synonymous with "dying"? I would expect them to be different states. |

What is this player planning? @Meta If he tries this, you should make the weapon call him to it, in the middle of the enemy group. Make sure you laugh evilly. Then when he tries to use that result to fly like superman, make the results inconsistent ("it depends on the alignment of the moons and the solar thaumic flux...") |

What is this player planning? Maybe he's going to throw it? Throw -> anchor on hit (enemy is now pinned in place at a range) -> call it back when you want it? Or maybe he thinks called and anchoring will interact in some way, so he can throw -> anchor -> next turn call and the enemy comes back with the axe? |

How do I design a Christmas-themed horror adventure? @MaurycyZarzycki Sounds like you need to read Hogfather :) |

How to keep my mount alive/relevant as a fighter @andrew One thing you can ask your DM about is giving Mako the mechanical abilities from some mount-giving prestige class, but reflavoring it to match whatever's going on with your character and his mount. |

How do I make headshot rules interesting? Keep in mind that anything the players can do, their enemies theoretically could do as well... and there's a lot more enemies than there are players. |

What can be done to maintain balance in a magic system in which mages must construct their own spells? This sounds a heck of a lot like the magic system in the Death Gate Cycle, so you could even use some of the magic used in the later books and the appendices for inspiration. |

Any advice on how to politely approach a friend on problems with her character(s)? Honestly it sort of sounds like she just wants to hang out and tolerates the RPGs because they're a group activity. Maybe try switching to board games? |

Is there a saving throw for forced movement over unrevealed pits? @PatLudwig Ouch, that makes the simulationist in me cringe :( |

How to play a character that has an alien mindset and thought process? @SevenSidedDie baby diaper is a snob's universal constant :) |

How to play a character that has an alien mindset and thought process? IIRC strong emotions will leave a mark in the Force (like that one cave where Luke thought he saw Vader), and I wouldn't be surprised if force sensitives can choose to impress emotions into objects and areas. As experienced by humans, their art is probably things like "holding this stick makes you feel a faint sense of regret, tinged with overtones of resentment and a faint waft of baby diaper". |

Why can't a Cleric use a sling? @JonHopkins It's okay, there's no rules for bloody noses in 1st edition, therefore they don't exist :) |

Does the Master at Arms feat work for Shields? I guess welding spikes to your shield is equivalent to painting your vehicle red? |
