Missed the bible on the subject.

comment Can situational aspects describe the same thing as consequences?
I would add that, since Advantages are transient by definition, it something isn't transient, it's not a (valid) Advantage. Ask the person to rephrase or choose another advantage to create.

The usual savage approach is to use the closest available mechanic and addtrappings and fluff.

comment Spaceship Combat in Fate Core
Indeed, the OP would have to work some to bring Starblazer (or diaspora or my game of choice, Bulldogs!) to Fate Core.

comment What do I need to play Firefly: Echoes of War?
These are my fears. I'll wait for someone else to chime in on what's on the adventures. Thanks!

Also, since there's an adventure in both Cortex and Cortex Plus versions, I decided to include both tags.

comment How can I bring a player back to immersion and away from the distraction he brings to the table?
Enter an agreement with the other players: whenever his character is hit, beat the shit out of him. Let's see if he's not immersed then.

comment Aced d4s vs skill development in Savage Worlds
That is correct and surprisingly counter-intuitive. Your correct formula yields much lower probabilities than mine. What mine appears to calculate is some magical die that holds all possible outcomes of, say, exploding d4 and exploding d6 and picking one outcome at random. How could this yield higher results than selecting ther higher of the two?

comment Does hurting a grappler free the grappled victim?
There's always the option of cutting the grappler's arms off with, say, a chainsaw. Or pretty much any other limb and/or head.

comment Messing with the Wild Die?
Actually, the so-called boost is only true for Extras at TN 4. Wildcards get better results regardless.

comment Encouraging players to not cheat the item purchase system?
My first thoughts exactly. There's no way you can make a decent frying pan from scrap iron, much less a shield. Steel shield? You'll need steel, not iron.
