How do I keep NPCs from just sounding the alarm? @Jakob - I am not sure I understand where you are coming from. To maintain verisimilitude it is essential to be consistent and logical within the context of the narrative. In fact it is impossible to maintain it without being consistent and logical. So if a game master has maintained verisimilitude then I am not sure how you would be having that problem. |

How do I keep NPCs from just sounding the alarm? Keep in mind there is a difference between verisimilitude and realism. What you are talking about above is verisimilitude which I agree should always be maintained. However, realism is not necessary for maintaining verisimilitude within the context of the story. |
